I created Wild Bird Apothecary as a respite for weary souls in a chaotic world. Here you can find nourishing botanical recipes for the body and home, a wealth of natural living knowledge, and gentle guidance and community, to help you on your comforting journey back to nature.
My Love Of The Planet and Nature Began Early
I have always been drawn to climate activism, and preserving the natural beauty of our planet. At a young age I remember being a part of the World Wildlife Fund, and school campaigns to reduce litter and waste.
As I grew older and had a family of my own, my passion for living sustainably came into focus even more. I felt the urgent need to do all I could to reduce my impact on the environment, and create a healthy and non-toxic home for those that I love.
I began by researching as much as I could about sustainable solutions that I could easily implement, beyond just recycling. This led me to experimenting with soap making, in my quest to reduce single use plastics in my home. First, I started with melt and pour soap, but quickly realized that I could create cold process soaps that I could customize with natural ingredients, to address some of my family's skin concerns and sensitivities. I was amazed at the power of botanicals, as they healed acne, dry skin, eczema and more…and my passion for natural skincare formulations was joyfully born!
How Wild Bird Apothecary Started
In 2023, after learning everything I could about natural living, I started a handmade skincare company called Wild Bird Apothecary. We posted our creations on social media, and were discovered by a local artisans boutique. Since then we have expanded our business to multiple stores in California, and our own website and Etsy storefront. We are continuing to grow!
I wanted to create a space here, to share the joy I felt when I first discovered how to handcraft with natural elements. I also want to be a resource for anyone who is working towards a more earth friendly and self-sustained lifestyle, or a natural handmade small business.
I am so happy that you found me here, and I am excited to share my wealth of knowledge, product recipes, and inspiration with a community of like-minded friends!

I am the co-owner of Wild Bird Apothecary. Me and my partner run a small handmade botanical skincare and candle company, based in Northern California. Several shops carry our products locally, and we also sell online on Etsy and our website. My partner is an important part of this venture, and has even designed our hand drawn labels and logo, with his experience and background in the arts. We are sharing our journey and knowledge through this website and blog, and Youtube + Patreon.
I am an Aquarius (sun) and Scorpio (moon). I am firstborn in my family, and have always been a leader, an over achiever, and self-proclaimed perfectionist. I am very artistic, and am drawn to anything aesthetic, including home decor, product design and packaging, social media design, and photography. I love incorporating nature into everything in my life and surroundings, including using as sustainable decor in my home (shells, dry locally grown flowers), to using natural motifs in my product packaging. I feel most at home and at peace when immersed in the beauty of nature.
I live in Northern California, in the foothills of the ever-wild Sierra Nevada Mountains. I am the mother of two wonderful humans, and a partner to my soulmate. We have one puppy and two cats. I love creating natural and nourishing self care products, cooking with healthy whole ingredients, and gardening in my backyard. I love nature, and especially the ocean. I am passionate about human rights for all, our home mother earth, and being part of something bigger, in my community.
